Our commitment to providing a rich and well-rounded student life for our students is evident by the clubs, sports, and activities we offer as a complement to our academic program.
Extracurriculars are as vital as academic preparation to leading a fulfilling life. They promote health, social engagement and leadership skills.
BASIS Independent takes it a step further, relying on students to both participate and to guide the offerings: first by surveying their interests, and later by encouraging students to develop programs where they see a need.
In our founding year, we launched with over 35 clubs and sports. As we grow, our extracurricular offering will continue to do so, too. We are excited about all that was accomplished by students this year, including the girl's basketball team winning their championship game, taking first in Mathcounts in State, placing first in Certamen, our inaugural theatrical productions, International Festival, Winter Gala Celebration, Halloween Dance, and much more.
There is so much opportunity in this school; clubs, electives, school events, teamwork, and spirit are all great things I see every day. ~Student, Class of 2020
