Subject Expert Teacher

Dr. Wilson comes to BASIS Independent McLean from BASIS Independent Brooklyn. Prior to teaching at BASIS he taught college for two years. His teaching philosophy is centered on introducing students to a canon musical works through performance and creative adventures. Achieving degrees in music performance to music education, his focus lies in general and instrumental music, digital music, music theory and music history.

 

He is an accomplished musician who has performed throughout the world, including; Carnegie Hall (NY), Alice Tully Hall (NY), Avery Fisher Hall (NY), La Scala (Milan) and Verdi’s Theatre in Viterbo, Italy. Currently outside of teaching music at McLean, Dr. Wilson produces music for major pop star artist including, “Chris Brown and Lil Wayne to name a few.”

 

“I am excited to bring my passion for music to the students at McLean,” said, Dr. Wilson who also loves to travel and read about the evolution of music education and everything on Music Production and Sound Design.
