Mr. Coquelin

Subject Expert Teacher

Mr. Coquelin graduated from Old Dominion University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He joins BASIS Independent McLean as the Primary Physical Education teacher.

Before joining the BASIS Independent family, Mr. Coquelin served as a swim coach for the 8 and Under group at York Swimming, and as a professional bike fitter.

He was attracted to BASIS Independent McLean because he wanted to be a part of an emerging school and help influence the way students look at moving. One of Mr. Coquelin's primary objectives is that, once students have taken Physical Education, they will want to continue to enjoy being active on a daily basis.

While at Old Dominion University Mr. Coquelin played ice hockey, a sport he still plays today. For the past ten years he has also competed in triathlons and is a certified triathlon coach and personal trainer.
