Ms. Cosgrave was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She graduated in 2014 from Martin Luther College, a specialized teaching school in New Ulm, Minnesota, with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish.
In the summer of 2012, Ms. Cosgrave studied abroad in Uruguay and Argentina, which she says was an experience of a lifetime and helped her grow in her knowledge of Spanish and appreciation for the Latin American culture. Previously, Ms. Cosgrave has worked as the grade 1 and 2 teacher at Divine Peace Lutheran School in Largo, Maryland, where she was able to put into practice her knowledge of differentiated instruction between the two grade levels.
When Ms. Cosgrave learned about BASIS Curriculum Schools, she was impressed with its philosophy of teaching and learning, its high standards for the students and the teachers, and the belief that it is possible for everyone to be successful. Ms. Cosgrave is able to utilize her education and background to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, so that they can reach their full potential.
In her free time, Ms. Cosgrave likes cooking, reading, playing piano, and traveling with her husband.
