Mr. Hunt

Teaching Fellow

Mr. Hunt graduated from Georgia State University in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Literature and a minor in Latin. While in college, he spent the 2011–12 year abroad as an exchange student at the Universidad de Malaga in Malaga, Spain. He was so enamored of Spanish culture, history, and the language that he moved to Ourense, Spain, in September 2014 as an English Teaching Assistant in the public school system. He worked in that role from 2014 to 2017, integrating into Spanish culture, picking up conversational Galacian (a regional language), visiting most of Spain, and touring Roman, Celtic, and Arabic ruins.

As a Teaching Fellow, Mr. Hunt looks forward to helping students strive to meet international academic standards in a joyful learning environment. He is also excited to bring his own international experience and love of learning languages to BASIS Independent McLean, and to inspire his students to develop a similar passion. For fun, Mr. Hunt has acted and helped produce movies and music videos with an independent production studio.
