Ms. Kimbrough attended the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon graduation, she received endorsements in Educating Students of Other Languages as well as Reading. During the summer of 2012, Ms. Kimbrough studied abroad in Reggio Emilia, where she gained an understanding of an approach to educating young children through the arts and sciences. Ms. Kimbrough has taught Kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 3.
Ms. Kimbrough was attracted to the faculty expertise at BASIS Curriculum Schools, but most notably the opportunity to challenge students through innovation and creativity. At BASIS Curriculum Schools, students are constantly given the opportunity to succeed with various open-ended activities, as well as hands-on learning experiences. She believes that allowing students to take ownership over their education gives them confidence and instills an excitement for learning.
Ms. Kimborough is enthusiastic about health and fitness, as well as music. She was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida.
