Week 2: Training

Mar 15, 2020

Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog post.

The second week of my internship has been mainly training and learning. I received training on routers, where I learned about the basic functions and operations, and have began my introduction to GIT as well. I’ve been assigned exercises that tested by knowledge on these subjects and I am close to completing requirement 1(of 2) of my internship. I’ve also had daily meetings with my internship mentor where we talked about any questions I had regarding the subjects I’m learning and other concerns that might arise.

Overall, my current experience with my internship has been great and everything is going along smoothly. I’m currently doing my internship remotely so I have not been affected by the Coronavirus. With the number of Coronavirus cases increasing worldwide, I hope everyone is staying safe and well.

Thanks for reading!

I’m glad to see you’re doing well at your internship. I’m beginning to intern remotely as well. Do you think there is a missing “experience” as a result of interning remotely?

It’s good to see that you’re using Git! Version control is very important. If you’re able to, it’d be awesome if you could share the repository.
