Welcome back to my blog!
This week is my second week at my internship site, Soliel LLC. It has been an exciting adventure so far. On the first day, I was handed a key fob, corporate laptop, and a quite comfy office room to work inside. I began the onboarding process of giving documentation, reviewing paperwork, and signing contracts. While tedious, I quickly transitioned into the intern work! Last week, I began working on researching various contractors to write a technical review of the positives and negatives of each company, whether that be each product’s user interface or additional benefits.
When talking with my on-site advisor, he mentioned how the company website layout has remained the same for many years. Hearing this, I volunteered to help design and polish up the website, especially having prior experience with website design. My progress with the website has been tremendous, and it is interesting to be in the same meeting room as project managers and senior executives discussing the website development. As of now, these two projects I’m working on have been great.
For senior project research, I have begun reading through the texts I saw the potential for in prior research. As it turns out, many have significant findings that I plan to incorporate into my final research, but a few were not as relevant as I thought. Luckily, it is pretty easy to parse through research materials to find which are pertinent and not just by reading the introduction and conclusion.
Till next week,
