COVID-19 Disruption

Mar 20, 2020

My research on how culture is advertised to the public has been narrowed down to specifically how online learning is becoming increasingly popular amongst students in America. My original project was to research how cultural events are advertised to the public, but due to COVID-19, we won’t be able to use the research to achieve our ultimate goal of aiding social events in Washington D.C. since social gathering has been limited to under ten people.

As of right now, my internship is taking a different turn, since I will not be able to meet at the Smithsonian with my mentor, but we are still communicating via e-mail. It is likely things will keep changing until the Smithsonian team has a plan of how to approach the following weeks in quarantine, but until then, stay safe everyone.
