Week 2: Web Theme
Mar 22, 2020
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, I continued to work from home for the second week of my internship. I have been learning theme development in WordPress and built the basic interactive web pages and menus.
It was funny yet frustrating when I tried to spend hours debugging only to realize that I forgot to grant myself permission to the directory I am in so nothing had been saved.
For my senior project research, I have been reading prior research on
- How does color influence trust and satisfaction
- Are those reactions different among cultures
I will finalize my research plan next week, and I will be virtually meeting with my internship group working on the theme development project.

Seems like everyone is using WordPress! I’m utilizing it for website development for my internship as well. Great progress. Look forward to see what is next.
It’s great to see you can continue doing your senior project even with everything going on!
The first question (How Does Color Influence Trust And Satisfaction) reminds me of my own project where I found that the color white was associated with cleanliness and professionalism. I wonder what other colors mean to people?
The History of Color will be a great source for you – you should also talk to Max about the color Yellow.
