Still working on data collection, but the light at the end of the tunnel has become a bit more visible as I’ve started to examine other factors such as climate and base. Soon I’ll be able to check out the actual wear and tear inflicted on the roads to examine the effect of heavy loads on pavement while dealing with confounding variables like weather. I’ll be able to decide what to do with my findings from there.
Meanwhile, I’m refreshing myself on the workings of tensorflow, a package for python made by google that I’ll be using to assess the data. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to manipulate the data structures with vanilla python and other relatively simple packages like pandas, which means the real challenge will be using both of my brain cells to figure out what to do with all of the data.
Also, my laptop finally broke, which I guess is ok since I’m not supposed to be leaving the house anyway.
Thanks for reading,
