This past week was very eventful. However, I only have a bit of work to show for it because a WiFi and landline phone outage in my neighborhood on Friday which disrupted my plans regarding finishing my research and starting my presentation. On the positive side, I was interviewed for the Fairfax County Times about interning at home. It is titled High School Seniors Learn New Ways to Adapt. I am thankful for the opportunity. It was really cool when the Senior Manager of Communications from my internship sent the article to me.
This week, I was able to update the state legislature and regulations databases I have worked on in the past. These databases are difficult to keep track of since states are out of session, but that makes finding information easier because it seems that most of the information will not be changing anytime soon.
Now that I have WiFi, I will be working extra hard this week. I plan to not only finish my research but also have a very solid rough draft of my final presentation.
