A lot of good things have happened this week. Let’s jump in!
First and foremost, happy teacher appreciation to any teachers reading this! I feel very fortunate to learn from many hard working, kind, and caring teachers. Whether it’s designing lessons, explaining a concept differently in office hours, or taking an interest in the well-being of us students beyond the classroom, thank you! Your kindness and hard work do not go unnoticed.
&pizza wise, this has been a good week! The #HeroPies promotion that I am working on continues to make a difference. I am pleased to report that we have now given out 36,720 free pizzas to hospital workers on the frontlines. It feels good to be a part of a company making a difference, and I am thrilled to be a part of this initiative!
I am also happy to share that I am making good progress on my customer acquisition analysis project. Working with my boss, we realized that it was expensive and impractical to run around five processing-intensive queries for every &pizza promotion dashboard, so we made an adjustment and cleverly adapted our code to write three central queries that will power all dashboards. After collaborating to design these queries, I built out a dashboard that shows the count of new leads (think of this as new customer interactions), new &pizza account registrations, and total offer redemptions, along with visualizations of how these measures have changed over time. The dashboard also includes the rate at which we have turned promotion participants into registered customers. With the simple change of updating the specified promotion of interest, we can obtain all of these key performance metrics for any &pizza promotion. I am currently running a query to determine average customer value for each promotion by mapping customers acquired in promotions to transactions.
That’s it for this week! As always, just let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend!
