Week 3: A Useful Grocery Trip

Mar 29, 2021

Hi everyone! I don’t have any significant updates for you guys because I haven’t entered the lab yet. There was a technical problem so no one was allowed in the building for the remainder of the week, so I continued to work on my literature.

When I was at the grocery store this week I came across a special edition of the Time titled “The Science of Addiction.” Naturally, I was very curious, so I went ahead and bought it. The magazine has worked in conjunction with the more academic articles I have been reading. Together the two different resources are allowing me to understand the disease on a deeper level as well as learn about the variability of the factors. If you’re looking for something different to read, I definitely recommend that magazine!

Hopefully next week I’ll be back with updates on my first day at the lab. I’ll talk to you guys soon!

Fair enough! I too experienced some obstacles in making significant improvements without a lab. But I hope to learn what happens at your lab!

It’s really a bummer that we can’t go into labs right now, but I’m glad you found a magazine article that was related to your research. I guess you never know what you may find while grocery shopping.
