Week 10: Final Week

May 18, 2021

Hi everyone! I can’t believe we are already on the final week. It is crazy how fast time flies.

I spent this week working on my presentation and putting the final touches on my paper. I worked on cutting down my graphs, making my paper more clear and concise, and identifying any possible sources of error.

I am very grateful for the time during my internship. I learned way more than I thought I would, not just about psychology, but about researching,  doing statistical analysis and communicating with experts in the field. I definitely struggled along the way but I learned how to handle and work around those roadblocks to make effective and interesting conclusions. Psychology is a multidisciplinary field and has effects on economics, public policy and politics, and that is something I will carry with me to college and when picking a career path. In addition, I would like to thank Dr. Mridu Tripathi and Dr. Hight for supporting me throughout my project.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s hard work this weekend. Thank you for tuning in the past 10 weeks!

Hi Ria! It was such a pleasure watching your presentation on Saturday. It really taught me a lot about the pandemic’s effect on mental health, something that has been sadly overlooked in recent months. It also sounded like our projects had a lot in common, with focuses on psychology, economics, and policy making
